Working Toward Rhythms-New Horizons and Platforms-Published Work.
Happy Labor Day to my US readers! I’m excited to share new poems with you. Here are several places where you will be able to find new work:
My New Substack: The Kiln
I’m putting semi-finished poems here, as Substack seems the place to share poems that either I don’t think will be accepted into journals, or I just don’t want to wait! This is the best place to read my newest work. If you want to receive this via email, you can subscribe to that as well!
Clayjar Review: The Maquoketa
I’m excited that Clayjar Review, an online journal I’ve loved for years, decided to publish my poem about a branch of the Maquoketa river in NE Iowa.
As Surely as the Sun: I am Prayer and Bemerton
I sent these poems to this journal in January! I was surprised to hear they would publish them.”Bemerton” is a narrative of my pilgrimage to the church and grave of George Herbert last July. Last word I received, they would be published in August, so I’m not sure when the next journal will be released.
I’m going to be working toward regular rhythms of sharing work. That means that sometime this blog might not get the most recent poems, but I always plan to share new information, newsletters, and other writings. I hope this rhythm works going forward! This will still be the place for general updates, my essays on the craft of preaching/writing, etc.
